  • Graduates of the MSc in International Shipping and Transport Logistics have been granted full exemption from the Qualifying Examination of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.
  • Graduates of the PgD in International Shipping and Transport Logistics have been granted Level 1 and Level 2 (6 subjects) exemption from the Qualifying Examination of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.

  • Applicants with other post-secondary qualifications, who have been employed in the fields of maritime, shipping, transport or logistics for not less than 6 years, of which 3 years in a managerial capacity, will also be considered.

If you are not a native speaker of English, and your Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is awarded by institutions where medium of instruction is not English, you are expected to fulfill the University minimum English language requirement for admission purposes. Remarks
  • There is another programme of MSc in International Shipping and Transport Logistics (Full-time Stream) (44087-ISS) (45 credits - 39 academic credits and 6 training credits) also available for application.
  • The Full-time Stream programme is for Hong Kong Maritime and Logistics Scholarship recipients only. Candidates are required to submit an application for admission to the programme via the online admission system before applying for the scholarship. Please visit here for more details on the programme.
  • Applications for the two programmes will be processed separately and the application fee is non-transferable.

Application period is from October to April of each year. Online applications have to be submitted before end of January 2021 each year in order to catch up with the 1st round of interview in mid February 2021.  Other rounds of interviews will also be conducted afterwards. Suitable candidates may be invited to attend admission interviews.

 

Student Visa, Accommodation and other Information for Non-local Students

Non-local students must obtain a valid student visa issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department before being allowed to register as students or commence study with PolyU.

Student residence in universities is in high demand in Hong Kong and, as such, our Student Halls of Residence is unable to meet the needs of all our students. Credit transfer/exemption will not be granted for subjects chosen from the FB Common Pool, unless the Elective Subject concerned falls within the programme curriculum.
